Letting Go of Limits

Please take a moment to get relaxed in your seats.

Place your hands in your lap, feet flat on the floor, close your eyes and just relax. Let everything go that is outside of this room. Forget about anything that may have happened to you before you got here this morning. Calm your mind and spirit.

Take a deep breath - and as you breathe in, I want you to visualize breathing in the words release and limits. As you breathe out, visualize breathing out the words fear and restraints.

Once again, take a deep breath, breathing in the words release and limits and breathing out the words fear and restraints.

I want you to see and feel yourself floating in the darkness of space, high above the earth. The globe as it floats below you is absolutely beautiful. The oceans and clouds are vibrantly alive. As you drift effortlessly overhead, you watch the division between light and dark move around Earth. You are filled with a sense of wonder and awe. The continents stand out sharply against the oceans. From space it looks like a pristine place, but you know the land is full of people and the oceans teem with life.

You blink and find yourself sitting on a chair looking at a globe spinning slowly on its axis. The boundaries between various countries catch your attention and you notice how divided the continents look. You think about all the wars that have been fought to protect those boundaries, when in reality the earth is all one. When seen from that perspective, the earth looks so fragmented.

Next you find yourself in a large city, standing on a street corner, surrounded by cars and people. There is a sense of chaos, but you choose to focus on the celebration of life. There is so much life on this small planet called Earth.

You take a deep breath and you are again in space seeing Earth below you in all its glory. The greens and blues are incredibly vivid. The land and the oceans teem with life. You have moved beyond the illusion of boundaries and of separation. From this perspective you can see the oneness.

You think about your life and the limitless possibilities that lie just beyond the boundaries created by your filter system. You take a deep breath and let them all go. You connect with the essence of who and what you are and know what you want and need without those artificial boundaries.

Take a few moments to come back to the here and now, You are perfect, whole, and complete, and you make all of your choices from that sense of oneness.

Father / Mother God, Thank you for allowing us to be positive, powerful co-creators of our lives. Amen

We'll now sing the Alleluia. After which we'll take a few moments to prepare our prayers and offerings.
